Kendal is Hiring a Cook Near Healdsburg, CA

Position Duties:

  • Responsible for the preparation of all dining room foods, hot and cold, that meet high standards and specifications.
  • Maintains solid knowledge of all food products, sanitation standards, and policies/procedures to skillfully apply culinary techniques.
  • Prepares menu items and recipes under the guidance of the Executive Chef; ensures meal orders are prepared and completed properly and placed in designated areas.
  • Portions food according to production schedules and recipe specifications; follows safe food handling procedures with special attention given to critical control temperatures.
  • Operates all kitchen equipment correctly; cleans and sanitizes equipment and utensils in work area during and after each shift.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of restaurant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate with team members and associates.
  • Strong detail skills and ability to multitask.
  • A culinary degree or culinary arts certificate is preferred.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Basic English skills.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the workday.
  • Ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently in small tight areas.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and hold up to 60 pounds.
  • May be exposed to extreme temperatures from the ovens and freezers.

Compensation and Benefits:

Enso Village is committed to equal pay and transparency. The salary range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour. This salary range provided as a general guideline and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors, including candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, external non-profit market data, and business considerations.
